I really love how this collage came together. I was just experimenting on a piece of paper, not thinking about making a finished piece. I painted the circular "tape reel" objects without thinking about it much at all, but then I spied some unfinished works that really complemented what I was doing with their color and texture. I started cutting and positioning, and soon I had the "tape recorder" you see before you. This piece makes me think of the early "musique concrete" composers who used the tape recorder as a musical instrument in itself. I wonder what kind of music this device would make?

This item is a collage on gray Canson Mi Teintes paper. The materials used are paper, acrylic, charcoal, ballpoint pen, and colored pencil. There is an adequate border around the image, drawn in pencil, to allow for framing. The front of the work is signed. The back of the work is dated and titled. A certificate of authenticity is included.

Framing is available in a simple, high-quality wood frame with a black, white, or natural finish. The frame will be wired for hanging. Please allow 1 week for processing of framed work.
