This painting is a good example of how my works compound and evolve over time. It can almost be seen as a fusion of a much earlier work, "Snakes and Hexes in Blue", with a very recent work, "Adventures of Dot 10". I really like the microbial-looking objects from "Adventures" and wanted to incorporate them into a larger painting. Although I didn't plan it, I ended up filling the negative space with a solid color as I often did when "Snakes" was painted. The tones are more muted and the composition is less densely packed than the "Snakes" era paintings, in keeping with my current direction. The title is simultaneously a playful jab at the overreaches of "wellness culture" and a respectful nod to our gut-dwelling microbial friends.

This painting is created with acrylic paint on heavy-duty canvas. The front is signed and the back is titled and dated. A certificate of authenticity is included.

Shipping:
If you are a U.S. customer, the painting will ship stretched with the sides painted black and the back wired for hanging.
If you live outside the U.S., the painting will ship rolled in a sturdy tube. There is plenty of room around the edges of the painting (about 5 inches/12.7 cm) for re-stretching the canvas onto the stretcher of your choice.
