"Invisible Flag" is the first work in my newly developing style of "image poems". In these works I draw and paint in a stream-of-consciousness, not having a detailed plan when I begin the work. As the piece develops certain objects or marks are painted out while new ones bubble up to the surface. The works often read as some sort of cryptic diagram, beckoning playfully to the viewer to decipher their meaning.

This work was created on Canson cold press watercolor artboard with acrylic paint, charcoal, and ink. It is sprayed with a coat of fixative to prevent smudging. The work is unframed and ships securely packed in a cardboard box. The back is signed, titled, and dated. A certificate of authenticity is included.
